Perhaps one of the reasons I created Zisa Dolls is the opportunity to sew their clothes
I started sewing when I was six and started with my dolls’ clothes. In my family there was little sewing, with an ancient Durkopp sewing machine, donated to my great-grandmother on her wedding day (in the nineties of the 19th century). I started with this very sturdy pedal machine, which still works, but my dream from the age of three was to have a super-automatic Borletti sewing machine (electric), whose advertising fascinated me. I asked for a super-automatic Borletti as every Christmas and birthday present, without ever being taken seriously, until I bought one with my money at the age of 16.
