This is the last step of the series “Healing From Trauma.” The previous includes Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3. I advise you have a go at them first.

Stay consistent and nourish yourself

Recovering from sexual trauma is a progressive, ongoing process. It does not occur overnight, nor do the pictures and thoughts of the trauma ever die entirely. This can make days seem dark at points. But, friends, there are numerous things you can do to cope with extra implications and reduce your nervousness and anxiety.

  • Stay connected to family and friends
    I know guys it is expected to feel alienated and disengaged from others following a sexual assault. You may be inclined to eliminate social activities and your preferred ones.
