BUTTERFLIES IN GAZA: A WORLD ANTHOLOGY OF POEMS ON PEACE, EDITED BY DR. CHRISTOPHER OKEMWA, KISII UNIVERSITY, KENYA (ENG -ITA)
There have been creative responses from around the world to the war in Gaza. An outpouring of poems and poetry anthologies has been published. On both sides of the war, poets have found a new language to express themselves and to speak about war and peace. We ascertain that most poetic responses to the Israel-Palestine war have been produced in the region of conflict. The current anthology, Butterflies in Gaza: A World Anthology of Poems on Peace, has works not only by Israeli and Palestinian poets, but also features a large number of poets from outside the region of conflict. The anthology is also published outside the Israel-Palestine region and is thought to be free of influence from political and religious materials. Published outside Gaza and Israel, this anthology gives the objectivity and impartiality required by poets to express their feelings and ideas without bias and offers proper solutions to the problems in Gaza. Its location of production and existence also affords it the spirit and tenacity of autonomy to position itself as a mediator and an ombudsman.
FARFALLE A GAZA: ANTOLOGIA MONDIALE DI POESIE SULLA PACE

La guerra a Gaza ha suscitato reazioni creative in tutto il mondo. Sono state pubblicate numerose poesie e antologie poetiche. Da entrambe le parti in conflitto, i poeti hanno trovato un nuovo linguaggio per esprimersi e parlare della guerra e della pace. Constatiamo che la maggior parte delle risposte poetiche alla guerra israelo-palestinese è stata prodotta nella regione del conflitto. L’antologia attuale, Farfalle a Gaza: Antologia mondiale di poesie sulla pace, contiene opere non solo di poeti israeliani e palestinesi, ma anche di un gran numero di poeti provenienti da fuori dalla regione del conflitto. L’antologia è pubblicata anche al di fuori della regione israelo-palestinese ed è considerata libera da influenze politiche e religiose. Il fatto di essere pubblicata al di fuori di Gaza e Israele conferisce a questa antologia l’obiettività e l’imparzialità necessarie ai poeti per esprimere i propri sentimenti e le proprie idee senza pregiudizi e offrire soluzioni adeguate ai problemi di Gaza. Il luogo di produzione e la sua stessa esistenza le conferiscono inoltre lo spirito e la tenacia dell’autonomia necessari per posizionarsi come mediatore e difensore civico.
