L’Accademia Farsala – ΑΚΑΔΗΜΙΑ ΦΑΡΣΑΛΩΝ inaugura la Settimana Ippocratica con una visita guidata di luoghi emblematici di Atene.
La “Settimana Ippocratica – Scuola Ippocratica” istituita dal Global Hippocratic Institute of Physicians – GDHI, nel 2022, nel contesto della 1a Conferenza dei Medici Greci della Diaspora a Melbourne, un’iniziativa del Presidente dell’Istituto, Dr. G. Patoulis, con la partecipazione del Vicepresidente dell’Istituto, Dr. K. Pantos, del Segretario Generale, Dr. A. Polydoros, del Membro Onorario e Vice Ministro della Salute, M. Themistokleous, e del membro del GDHI, Dr. V. Polydoros. Dopo il successo organizzativo degli anni precedenti, quest’anno si prosegue con un ricco e multitematico programma formativo, eventi e conferenze, che si terrà ad Atene, Larissa e Kos, con la partecipazione di 50 studenti e professori di medicina provenienti dalla Grecia e dall’estero, nonché di illustri medici di diverse specialità, sotto l’egida della Facoltà di Medicina dell’Università Nazionale di Atene e della Facoltà di Medicina dell’Università della Tessaglia (Larissa).
La Settimana Ippocratica è iniziata con grande solennità, con il primo giorno caratterizzato da un’esperienza culturale unica per i partecipanti. L’Accademia Farsala ha organizzato la visita guidata, offrendo un affascinante tour della Roccia Sacra dell’Acropoli, del Santuario di Asclepio e del Museo dell’Acropoli.
La visita è stata condotta dal presidente dell’Accademia Farsala, il professor Ioannis Fikas, che ha evidenziato il legame tra la filosofia greca antica e le radici della medicina ippocratica, offrendo ai partecipanti un primo assaggio della profondità e dell’atemporalità della cultura greca.
Il programma della giornata è proseguito con una visita di studenti e professori di medicina stranieri al Parlamento ellenico, dove hanno potuto visitare i siti storici. Successivamente, nell’ambito delle celebrazioni per la Giornata Mondiale della Bioetica, gli ospiti hanno assistito alle presentazioni del Presidente dell’ISA e dell’Istituto Mondiale Ippocratico dei Medici, Dott. G. Patoulis, del Professore e Responsabile del Programma di Salute e Diplomazia dell’Ospedale Universitario Bio-Medico di Roma, Massimo Maria Caneva, della Preside dell’Università Europea di Cipro, Elizabeth Johnson, e del Professore dell’Università dell’Oman, Daha Mohsin Al Lawati.
Successivamente, il Presidente dell’ISA, Dott. G. Patoulis, ha accolto tutti gli ospiti presso la sede dell’Ordine dei Medici di Atene.
Questa prima giornata è stata un inizio ideale per la settimana di eventi, che si prevede proseguirà con eventi presso la Facoltà di Medicina di Atene, la Facoltà di Medicina della Tessaglia e culminerà con la cerimonia del Giuramento di Ippocrate presso l’Asclepio di Kos.
L’Accademia Farsala, con il suo contributo, conferma l’importante ruolo che svolge nella promozione del patrimonio culturale greco, costituendo un’ambasciatrice affidabile del pensiero ippocratico.
The Academy Farsala – ΑΚΑΔΗΜΙΑ ΦΑΡΣΑΛΩΝ inaugurates Hippocratic Week with a guided tour of emblematic places in Athens.
The “Hippocratic Week – Hippocratic School” instituted by the Global Hippocratic Institute of Physicians – GDHI, in 2022, in the context of the 1st Conference of Greek Doctors of the Diaspora in Melbourne, an initiative of the President of the Institute, Dr. G. Patoulis, with the participation of the Vice President of the Institute, Dr. K. Pantos, the Secretary General, Dr. A. Polydoros, the Honorary Member and Deputy Minister of Health, M. Themistokleous, and the GDHI member, Dr. V. Polydoros. After the successful organization of previous years, this year it continues with a rich and multi-thematic educational program, events and speeches, which will be held in Athens, Larissa and Kos, with the participation of 50 medical students and professors from Greece and abroad, as well as distinguished doctors of various specialties, under the auspices of the Medical School of the National University of Athens and the Medical School of the University of Thessaly (Larissa).
The Hippocratic Week began with great solemnity, with the first day featuring a unique cultural experience for the participants. The Academy Farsala organized the guided tour, offering a fascinating tour of the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis, the Sanctuary of Asclepius and the Acropolis Museum.
The tour was conducted by the president of the Academy Farsala, Professor Ioannis Fikas, who highlighted the link between ancient Greek philosophy and the roots of Hippocratic Medicine, and offered participants a first taste of the depth and timelessness of Greek culture.
The day’s program continued with a visit by foreign medical students and professors to the Hellenic Parliament, where they were given a tour of the historical sites and then the guests attended, in the context of the celebration of the events of the World Bioethics Day, presentations by the President of the ISA and the World Hippocratic Institute of Physicians Dr. G. Patoulis, Professor and Head of the Health and Diplomacy Program of the Bio-Medico University Hospital in Rome Massimo Maria Caneva, Dean of the European University of Cyprus Elizabeth Johnson and Professor of the University of Oman Daha Mohsin Al Lawati.
Afterwards, the President of the ISA, Dr. G. Patoulis, welcomed all the guests at the offices of the Athens Medical Association.
This first day was an ideal start to the week of events, which is expected to continue with events at the Athens Medical School, the Thessaly Medical School and culminate with the Hippocratic Oath ceremony at the Asclepius of Kos.
The Academy Farsala, with its contribution, confirms the important role it plays in promoting Greek cultural heritage, constituting a reliable ambassador of Hippocratic thought.
Η Ακαδημία Φαρσάλων εγκαινιάζει την Ιπποκρατική Εβδομάδα με ξενάγηση σε εμβληματικά σημεία της Αθήνας
Η «Ιπποκρατική Εβδομάδα – Ιπποκρατικό Σχολείο» που θεσμοθετήθηκε από το Παγκόσμιο Ιπποκράτειο Ινστιτούτο Ιατρών – GDHI, το 2022, στο πλαίσιο του 1ου Συνεδρίου Ελλήνων Ιατρών της Διασποράς στη Μελβούρνη, πρωτοβουλία του Προέδρου της Δρ. Γ. Πατούλη, με τη συμμετοχή του Αντιπροέδρου του Ινστιτούτου Δρ. Κ. Πάντου, του Γενικού Γραμματέα Δρ. Α. Πολυδώρου, του επίτιμου μέλους και Υφυπουργού Υγείας Μ. Θεμιστοκλέους, και του μέλους του GDHI Δρ. Β. Πολυδώρου. Μετά την επιτυχή διοργάνωση των προηγούμενων ετών, φέτος συνεχίζεται με πλούσιο και πολυθεματικό εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα, εκδηλώσεων και ομιλιών, οπού θα διεξαχθούν σε Αθήνα, Λάρισα και Κω, με τη συμμετοχή 50 φοιτητών και καθηγητών ιατρικής από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, καθώς και διακεκριμένων ιατρών διαφόρων ειδικοτήτων, υπό την αιγίδα της Ιατρικής Σχολής του ΕΚΠΑ και της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας (Λάρισα).
Με ιδιαίτερη επισημότητα ξεκίνησε η Ιπποκρατική Εβδομάδα, με την πρώτη ημέρα να περιλαμβάνει μια μοναδική πολιτιστική εμπειρία για τους συμμετέχοντες. Η Ακαδημία Φαρσάλων ανέλαβε τη διοργάνωση της ξενάγησης, προσφέροντας μια συναρπαστική περιήγηση στον Ιερό Βράχο της Ακρόπολης, στο Ιερό του Ασκληπειού και στο Μουσείο της Ακρόπολης.
Η ξενάγηση πραγματοποιήθηκε από τον ίδιο τον προεδρο της Ακαδημίας Φαρσάλων καθηγητή Ιωάννη Φίκα, ο οποίος ανέδειξε τον δεσμό της αρχαίας ελληνικής φιλοσοφίας με τις ρίζες της Ιπποκρατικής Ιατρικής, και προσέφερε στους συμμετέχοντες μια πρώτη γεύση του βάθους και της διαχρονικότητας του Ελληνικού πολιτισμού.
Το πρόγραμμα της ημέρας συνεχίστηκε με επίσκεψη των ξένων φοιτητών της ιατρικής και των καθηγητών στη Βουλή των Ελλήνων, όπου ξεναγήθηκαν στους ιστορικούς χώρους και εν συνεχεία οι προσκεκλημένοι παρακολούθησαν στο πλαίσιο του εορτασμού των εκδηλώσεων της παγκόσμιας ημέρας βιοηθικής, παρουσιάσεις του Προέδρου του ΙΣΑ και του Παγκόσμιου Ιπποκράτειου Ινστιτούτου Ιατρών Δρ. Γ. Πατούλη, του Καθηγητή και Επικεφαλής του Προγράμματος Υγείας και Διπλωματίας του Πανεπιστημιακού Νοσοκομείου Bio-Medico, στη Ρώμη Massimo Maria Caneva , της Κοσμήτορος του Ευρωπαϊκού Πανεπιστημίου της Κύπρου Elizabeth Johnson και του Καθηγητού του Πανεπιστημίου του Ομμάν Daha Mohsin Al Lawati.
Ακολούθως ο Πρόεδρος του ΙΣΑ Δρ. Γ. Πατούλης δεξιώθηκε όλους τους προσκεκλημένους στα γραφεία του Ιατρικού Συλλόγου Αθηνών.
Η πρώτη αυτή ημέρα απετέλεσε ένα ιδανικό ξεκίνημα για την εβδομάδα εκδηλώσεων, η οποία αναμένεται να συνεχισθεί με εκδηλώσεις στην Ιατρική Σχολή Αθηνών, την Ιατρική Σχολή Θεσσαλίας και να κορυφωθεί με την τελετή του Ιπποκρατικού Όρκου στο Ασκληπιείο της Κω.
Η Ακαδημία Φαρσάλων, με τη συμβολή της, επιβεβαιώνει τον σημαντικό ρόλο που διαδραματίζει στην προώθηση της Ελληνικής πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς, αποτελώντας έναν αξιόπιστο πρεσβευτή της Ιπποκρατικής σκέψης.
